Dear neighbours,
Over the years through conversations with residents and recent brainstorming at community meetings, I have received numerous suggestions about projects and improvements residents would like to see in Cedarvale Park and Ravine.
Funding is available for spending on capital projects for Cedarvale Park and Ravine. The following survey has been created as a way of identifying what projects, if any, have community support. Please note that capital funding cannot be used for park maintenance or to aid daily operations within the park.
Earlier this year and after a number of community meetings, residents came together to discuss values for the park and developed a working vision statement to reflect those values. Thank you to the many residents who worked together to help on this. You may use the statement to help inform your views on any possible projects. You may view the statement at http://www.joemihevc.com/2012/10/24/cedarvale-park-projects-survey/. A Powerpoint presentation about past improvements to Cedarvale Park can also be viewed on the same link. Many people who attended a community meeting last month found it helpful to inform their ideas.
I invite you to fill out the questionnaire and provide your input. We handed out surveys in the park on Sunday afternoon. If you would like a printed version, copies are available at my community office. It will take approximately ten minutes of your time. The information will be confidential. The deadline for response is Monday November 5.
To mail, drop-off, or pick-up printed surveys, my office address is: 747 St. Clair Avenue West, Toronto, M6C 4A4
